Fruits of Our Labor – The DANU Story

Danu is the celtic goddess Mother Earth ruling fertility, wisdom and wind. She is a strong, nuturing mother with ancient ties to the Earth and nature and we wanted our brand to have meaning—to communicate those same things that were important enough to us that we created a whole new product line.

Before we decided to create an entire line of naturally great hair care products, we were stylists who have used all the other products out there. After working in hair care for over a decade we have been awakened to how caustic our profession can be.

As mothers ourselves we have concerns about the carbon footprint we create today and what we are leaving behind for our children to deal with tomorrow. Our products were specifically formulated to be safer not only for the environment but for people too. We have gone to great lengths in formulating our products to be free of nasty things like dyes, parabens and sulfates while still performing like the top products out there that do contain these harmful ingredients. So for over a year we paired up with highly knowledgeable chemists who helped us identify only the purest active natural ingredients of the highest quality to create the DANU line that embodies our own high standards and values.

We also thought about the people who felt the same we we did who would use DANU hair care products and how to best craft a product line that would fit within their lives. So we set very lofty goals to create a high-performance product line conscious of people and the environment that fit very specific lifestyle requirements. And after all that hard work, we are proud to present the fruits of our labor: DANU Hair Care Products.

We are also dedicated to our mission as moms so we connected DANU to a charity that we believe in and donate a full 50 cents of each product purchased to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.  So by purchasing DANU, you are also contributing to a cause that we mothers support.
